Infrastructure WA provides expert advice and assistance to the WA Government on a range of infrastructure matters, particularly regarding the state's infrastructure needs and priorities, to support the following objectives:

Infrastructure WA's role is to provide advice and assistance to the WA Government on infrastructure matters. Looking at the medium to long term, our advice informs infrastructure investment decision-making and supports better outcomes for the people and economy of Western Australia.

Directions for the 2027 Strategy Paper

The Directions for the Strategy is the first step in developing the next Strategy, which is due to the Premier in 2027. It sets the strategic direction by outlining a bold vision and four Focus Areas that will guide research, engagement and recommendations over the next 18 months. 

Building on the foundations of IWA’s inaugural 2022 Strategy – whose recommendations remain active until fully implemented – this paper marks the beginning of a new phase in shaping WA’s long-term infrastructure future.
